Seize the Day(light) With Lutron Shades

Lutron Smart Shades Let You Expertly Manage Natural Light With Style

Seize the Day(light) With Lutron Shades

Here in Dallas, we can be chilly in the winter and quite hot in the summer. On a cold but brilliantly sunny winter day, you might just want the sun to shine through all day.  In the height of the Texas summer in August, you might want to keep those shades down and keep the load off on the air conditioning system – at least until sunset.  If the day varies, you might want to adjust accordingly – on an overcast day, open it up to get as much natural light as you can, or just enjoy the rain if that's what's on tap for the weather.

It used to be that to get automated window treatments that you could open and close at a touch of a button, you’d have to invest in a very customized solution.  Even then, you might have been limited in style choices for your home.  Fortunately, those days are in the past.  Today’s motorized smart shading solutions offer a wide array of styles to fit almost any décor.

Lutron is a company we partner with for lighting control systems, and they are well known for their solutions in that space.  What some people don’t associate Lutron with is shading.  As a company, Lutron is devoted to the management of light, both natural and artificial, in both residential and commercial settings.  The company has significantly expanded its shading offerings in the past several years and has a variety of solutions that are an excellent fit for most homes.

If you thought motorized shades might be a great addition to your Dallas home - but didn’t think they would fit your style – it’s time to take a closer look at Lutron shade solutions.

Lutron Serena Shades

Lutron Serena shades are the company's more affordable smart shading line.  They are available in the popular insulating honeycomb style as well as roller styles and offer a broad variety of colors and textures.

With honeycomb styles, there are options for single and double cell light filtering materials, as well as room darkening styles perfect for a bedroom or media room.  For roller styles, there are sheer, translucent, and blackout fabric choices.  Lutron even has an IOS app for Apple devices to show you color and styles choices.

Serena is a wireless solution – the quiet electric motors are powered by long-lasting batteries.  The shades can go up and down at the touch of a button on a Lutron remote, of which there are several handheld or wall-mounted options.  Serena shades can also be controlled by the Lutron app and Smart Bridge, which connects them to smart automation possibilities.  You can schedule your shades to open and close or coordinate them with Lutron lighting control.  You can even control them with voice assistants like Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

Sivoia QS

Sivoia is Lutron’s high-end solution. It encompasses all of Lutron’s motorized window treatments as well as traditional drapery tracks, Roman shades, wood blinds, and pleated shades.  The Sivoia system is suitable for both high end residential as well as commercial solutions.

With such a variety of styles available, there’s almost no window treatment that can’t be automated.  Sivoia also can control Lutron’s innovative Kirbé vertical drapery system, which pulls up fabric vertically as opposed to horizontally, and leaves a clean look to windows when opened. The Sivoia line even includes tensioned shades for applications on skylights and angled windows.

Sivoia QS wireless is the wireless counterpart to the rest of the Sivoia solution.  It can also be applied to a variety of styles like the Kirbé verticals, roller shades, and tensioned shades.  Sivoia is compatible with several of Lutron’s control components, like the RadioRA 2 and Homeworks lighting control systems.  It also works with stylish seeTouch QS designer wall-mounted and tabletop keypads, and of course, the Lutron app and voice control if you so choose.

No matter what kind of automated window treatment you need in Dallas, Lutron shade solutions have you covered. To learn more, contact us or just click below to be quickly connected to one of our shading experts.
